Registering a web name

I'm not sure if this is the spot to post this, but here goes. I'm planning on getting a pro smugmug account for my pics. I've decided on a name for my "business" to see if I can perhaps sell some pics and help pay for this expensive hobby of mine or set up a "fund" so I can keep on buying :wink LOL.
I want to know if I need/should register my business domain name? I want to register it as both ".com" and ".ca", then somehow, not sure yet, link them to my smugmug account so that if someone types in either of the web names, my smugmug account will appear. Is this possible? It will cost me about $160.00 CDN for 2yrs to register the name as both ".com" and ".ca", so I want to make sure I am doing this right.
Any advice?

First off I would recommend shopping around as far as the price you quoted. I'm not sure what the price per year runs for .ca domain names, but I'm paying only $12/year for a .com through joker.com.
Setting up the domain names to point at a pro level smugmug account is pretty easy. Smugmug's pro level help pages have instructions on how to do this, and while I was able to do it with no problems from what I've heard the support people at smugmug have been very helpful for those people who have had problems.
