Samy's in SoCal /Think Tank Gear

I will be in Thousand Oaks and Santa Monica over the next 10 days or so. I have been to the Fairfax store, but was wondering if the Santa Barbara store would have a good selection of Think Tank gear? And has anyone been to the new Culver City store off the 405?

Specifically I am looking at the Pro belt, the LCs, a Holster 30, chimp cage or speed changer, maybe the bum bag. But I want to compare that setup to a Speed Freak with a couple extra pieces.

I'll tell you this, though. Thousand Oaks is 50 minutes from Santa Barbara.

The LA store is probably 30 minutes from Santa Monica.

I've only shopped at the Santa Ana store, so I cannot help on the selection on all the LA-area ones. I do recall seeing they had TT stuff, just not a lot Seemed like mainly the holster bags. Tamrac, Lowepro, and a couple of others get the lion's share to table/shelf space at SA.

Sorry, don't know about TT gear. I live a few blocks from the Culver City Sammy's, and still would rather buy my gear online then venture into that pit of anti-customer service. The service there is horrendous. I've had so many bad experiences that I just can't go in there anymore. All my friends agree, stay away from the Culver City Sammy's. They'll make you feel like an idiot for wanting to give them money. Don't know about the other locations.

TT generally get good reviews for things like their Airport roller cases.

Not so sure about other stuff.

    Canoga
I shop at Canoga Camera much of the time. Sometimes Woodland Hills Camera - only 20 minutes from TO. Better service. No Think Tank there. But Kata and Lowepro and Tamrac in huge quanitity.

Only go to Samy's Fairfax if I need something that I can't wait for from B&H

Too bad. The SA store has been good to me with exceptional customer service several times.

I was at the Culver City store today and had great service, which isn't always the case. Wish I could remember the guy's name. I saw the TT belt system and few of the attachments, but sorry, I can't be specific. Bought a Tenba bag today—fantastic!
