Annual San Diego Get-Together
This is a bit boring in comparison to some of the exotic travels I've seen here, but I'm going to post it anyway.
I have two buddies, Jon and Nolan, and we all used to work photo retail together. For 20 years we've always met for one evening to celebrate the holidays. This year we went down to San Diego to join Nolan for his company Christmas party, a cruise in San Diego's harbor.
These are also some of my first shots with my 40D. I'm learning it and Lightroom, so any and all C&C is much appreciated.
Jon.
Nolan.
Nolan's backyard is a bit of an oasis in a downtown San Diego neighborhood.
After catching up, we ventured out to our favorite lunch destination, Shakespeare pub.
After filling up on fish and chips, it was down to the sea port. Here's an assortment of views from throughout the evening.
San Diego's downtown is often referred to as the "tool box." The Hyatt (with reindeer) is a flathead screwdriver. The pointed building above is a phillips head screwdriver. The building behind it, in red and green, are allen wrenches. I've always been fascinated by this concept.
Hotel del Coronado all lit up for the holidays.
That's it. Everything hand-held with a 17-85. Thanks for looking.

Nice! Thanks for playing with this. I've been using iPhoto for a while and I'm still getting used to Lightroom. It's more complex, so there's a lot more to know, even though I know it's a basic program.
Sigh. So much to learn, so little time. . . .
