Hooded Merganser Drake

I had the great fortune of being told that there was a Hooded Merganser Drake that had a Identity Crisis. He thinks he is a Mallard Duck. As such, you can get very close to him.

For these shots, I got right down, lying on the ground as close to the water's edge as I could. My head was almost in the water.

As you can see, I couldn't really get close to him. I think I can see nostril hairs?!
