My Mark III has arrived, and I can now sell off my like-new 3 month old 40D.
I am keeping this within the US, prices are in USD and cover paypal.
Like New pristine 40D complete with box and all factory accessories, some not even opened. Less than 1200 actuations, and will come with the Best Buy receipt. LCD protectors on the top and back LCDs, so not a mark anywhere on the camera.
SOLD Price is $1090 covering USPS Priority Shipping
Trade may occur with established member here, at FM or at POTN. Trade for either of the following:
Like new Canon 24-70 f/2.8L w/box and all contents + $165
Or
Like New Sigma 12-24 w/box and all contents + $620

I am offering to trade my 40D for either lens listed. I need both lenses for the 1D. I had a Sigma 10-20 and still have a Sigma 18-50 macro, both like new. The 10-20 has sold, and it appears nobody has a need for a very sharp and fast Sigma walkaround lens, so now I am just concentrating on the 40D.
Love the iso performance. The only thing I would change on the III would be to add some way to store 3 custom quick slots like the C1/C2/C3 on the 40D. It saves up to 10 settings but on the flash card, so they are easily lost and actually difficult to store (if you want to custom name them).
The 40D is about as near a perfect camera as can be found in the line up at this point for the hobbyist. Every day, I consider keeping it as a backup, so I hope it sells or trades quickly, else I will have have a ton of money wrapped up into two bodies, one of which I don't need, but really want.
Will the 40D come anywhere close to the III at 3200.
Comments and constructive critique always welcome!
