A few local historical sites

A few minutes South of Phoenix lies an Indian Reservation and a few small communities. There is much historical significance in the area- here are two of the sites.
Casa Grande Ruins- built in the 1300's by the Hohokam Indians
The roof structure is to prevent erosion of the Caliche clay that the structure is made of.
My little guy providing some scale
No pass- shot through an iron gate but loved the lighting
During WWII Arizona had several Japanese Internment Camps- this is a memorial of one of the largest.

The internment camp memorial reminds me of Stonehenge, especially with the moon in the background. (that is the moon, right?)
