Mum & baby...they are hard to see.
    The boys
The look a bit evil but they are actually very intelligent & some rescue people keep them as pets. They are quite friendly.

    Hi Gus, these are great.

There are thousands of these in the Park at the end of town.
However they insist on hanging in the highest dang trees,
and even with the 400mm you can't get a decent close-up of them ne_nau.gif

The trees are way too tall.

Love the one with the tongue sticking out :D .... Skippy :D

Great shots Gus.. Very interesting critters, reminds me of "Lost Boys" vampire movie. The B/W shots show them as rather errie, the color shots and close-ups are great. Congrats..clap.gif

Great captures, Gus! What lens were you using to reach them? I've only seen them at the zoo (new Australian exhibit at our aquarium) but they do hang so high up.

Is it just me or is it really obvious which ones are boys? :D

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Great shots Gus! Not often you see fruit bats so close up in their natural state. clap.gif

Lovely animals, but they don't half stink.
