Web Site update question

O.K. It's time to change my site from functional to functional and professional looking.
My question is: What happens to the look and function of my site while I'm working on it? Is there a way to work on the site with out having my customers notice until I'm ready to reveal the NEW look? :scratch
Thanks
John

The moment you save changes, they will be available for everyone to see. You can use the WebDeveloper Toolbar if CSS is the only thing you are using. You can save the code in an external stylesheet, before you save it to your Smug account.
This will not work for JS and HTML, really. You could use a trial SmugMug account, copy the code after you are done and then close the account again.
