Some Recent Pole Hawks

I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for hawks. Some folks think hawks on poles are boring, but I don't care. I'll take my hawks anyway I can get them.

Here's an assortment of red-tailed hawks from the Salton Sea area. That place is loaded with 'em. :nod

Raptors are awesome and even on poles and utility lines they still get my attention. I'm glad that someone else's raptors prefer poles to tree branches.

Great shots Joel. The hawks around here won't let you get anywhere near them when they are perched. About 1/4 mile is the closest for me.

The Red-Tailed are the most skittish this year, really strange. But man are they vocal. The R-T's are screaming all the time, constant in flight and hunting.
