cName to SmugMug and linking to hosting site

I use GoDaddy with the cName set to forward my domain to SmugMug. I plan on creating journal style galleries that contain html with href links to document files contained on my GoDaddy site. Is it possible to point to the GoDaddy host with a url that is like this : www.speaksimages.com/documents/mydoc.pdf
Or will the cName preclude this type of reference and require me to setup another domain that would contain the document files?
Thank you,

You can't do it the way you proposed. "www.speaksimages.com" (regardless of what comes after it) must resolve to a specific IP address (e.g. a specific server or server cluster) - either at Smugmug or at GoDaddy, but only one of them - that's how DNS works.
Assuming GoDaddy supports multiple sub-domains, you could make www.speaksimages.com be your Smugmug galleries and docs.speaksimages.com be your documents at GoDaddy. That way, http://docs.speaksimages.com/documents/mdocs.pdf could work at GoDaddy while http://www.speaksimages.com was your images at Smugmug. I know GoDaddy supports defining sub-domains, but I don't know if they support splitting some to Smugmug and some to GoDaddy.
