Got it yesterday in Mission Viejo, CA while out on a hike... Any advice, corrections, or comments are very appreciated.

Thanks!

EDIT: Color is a bit distorted, and much brighter in the real picture...

    Hi there Sohotrightnow,
Is this your first image post on Dgrin?
Let me firstly welcome you to the Dgrin Forum,
I'm sure you will enjoy what you find within the many many thousands of posts here.

Not going to go hard on you for a first post.
I would have backed off a bit from being so close,
that way you would get more in focus in the shot.

Or maybe I would have chosen to isolate the centre of the flower,
and used that as a focusing point.

I see you got yourself some little ants in this shot.
I can also see the pollen inside the flower too.

You will continue to improve, because I am yet to find someone who doesn't..... it's all forward from here on thumb.gif

Thanks for sharing .... keep shooting and sharing .... Skippy :D
