Polygonal Lasso Tool

Hi Gang and Merry Christmas to all!

I almost always use the polygonal lasso tool for selecting the edges of an object. Often, after I've completed the selection and closed the border I'll see places on the selection line that need to be adjusted some.

I'd like to be able to grab the line and drag the segment to where it should be but have not been able to find a way to do that.

Any wisdom out there?

Thanks.

    Thanks Bernard
    That was a quick response!!!

Unless I'm missing something, that allows me to move or reshape the entire selection.

I'm looking for a way to adjust small segments of the selection line ... places where I accidently clicked to far from the intended edge and that I didn't see until after the border was closed. Is there a way to do that?

Perhaps just switch to quick mask mode (Q key) and paint with black to mask or white to reveal, and when it is to your liking press Q again to see the marching ants.

    Select whatever you want to.
When you select to much of something. Press and hold down the alt key. You will see a little minus sign show up beside your selection tool show up. Draw a shape around what you want to remove from your selection.

If you want to add to the selection. Just make sure, "Add to Selection is selected. *see screen cap below

    Merry Christmas!

    Thanks Jon ...
It's just what I needed. Another case of overlooking the obvious.

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.

After selecting with the Polygonal tool, I move in to a higher mag view, and then add or subtract from my selection by using the simple Lasso tool and holding down the alt key to subtract and the shift key to add to my selection.. That way I can quickly refine my selection, before sending it on to Refine Edges for final rendering.

    Refine Edges???
I'm using PhotoShop CS for Windows and I don't recall ever seeing that tool.

Is it in a later version of CS or maybe in the Mac version? Or is it a plug in? Or, maybe I've just missed it somehow?

    Thanks.
