there were eagles everywhere along the mississippi when I was back home around the Quad Cities, Ia/Il..I hit all 3 lock & dams in the area...But terrible shooting weather. the first day was coudy ,snow, & 30mph wind with gusts of 50mph. the second day was coudy ,cold & a layer of ice on the roads........of course Christmas day was sunny, but I only had about 1/2 hour of early morning time to shoot & that was into the rising sun:cry ..back to work today:cry ...
a couple shots that I managed to save. none are great

Awesome set, Dave! clap.gif Great job on the available lighting.

I'd kill to get that close to eagles, bad lighting or good. :D

Great set of captures Dave! Looks like the light was tough and you did a great jopb at getting photos in those conditions. Love the one with his claws out ready to grab something out of the water.

It gets me really looking forward to my February trip to Reelfoot Lake in Western Tennessee. Should be a bunch of Eagles there around that time.

    Well Done!

Nice set there Dave - especially considering the light conditions. thumb.gif I'm still trying to find an eagle close enough to have its pic taken.

Bummer about having to go back to work. I've still got two weeks...
