Not sure what kind of hawk this is, but it's sure pretty.

Think he sees me?



Maybe a dark morph, rough legged? Anybody else hazard a guess?

I think you guess about the Rough-Legged dark morph is probably what it is. The only guess other than rough-legged that it could make is a possible ferruginous hawk but from your photo, it doesn't look big enough at all. Now, that I am thinking more, it could be a dark-morphed juvenile red tailed hawk. It looks like I detect a bit of red in that tail. Nice pics either way though.
