I've got this picture.. It is somewhat out of focus..

and even after expending quite some time.. I still can't get it to be focused.

The original is like this:
IMAG0103.JPG

The processed version is like this:
IMAG0103_filtered.jpg

Now, I gotta say I'm really a newbie at photoshop. In fact I know nothing until a few days ago, so all expert advice welcome! (Not so expert advice welcome too!)

The more I work on this picture.. the more I come to realise that while this image might actually be best with a soft focus effect, but it does seem like camera blur and soft focus are really different things :D

I do know that a tripod should have been used, etc etc, but I wasn't the original photographer.. so, what can I say? =)

Thanks for reading!

You could try this approach. And when you're done, click on the middle layer to play with the Opacity slider to adjust the intensity.

And you might want to post smaller size piccies, those are kinda big. We shoot for 800 pixels on the longest side.
    Sid.
