long story short, last night my son got into the frogs enclosure and "squished" (his words not mine) one of my frogs.. i was horrified at the thought one of my frogs getting hurt and yet proud of my 3yo for letting me know the truth.. he had opened, squished, closed and locked the cage without me knowing.. so today we went together and picked out a lock for the tank so this doesnt happen again.. the frog while he had some evidence of skin damage seems as good as new tonight.

the cage.. now equipped with frog safety equipment.. aka child proof lock

a bit shy and perhaps bruised.. but oh still the model!

a bit darker when night falls...

hunting for some dinner...(ahem, yes they do eat out of a bowl)

and for the grand finale...Mr. Poser himself

What a wonderful thing that your son came and told you what he had done.

Good son! Raised well if he comes and tell... Not easy to tell your mom that you squished a frog... The lock seems like a good idea!
Wonderful shots, I freak out at the food bowl, but ok, I am not a frog. Guess it is a banquet for the frog.
Love the green and the red combined. Pretty pretty animal! Good shots. You will become a frog master...

Thanks Photocat. it did make us proud that he was willing to come and tell us what he had done, i wouldnt have known had he not told me and G-d forbid if i woke up the next morning he was dead.. without knowing what caused it. I wouldve been crushed and paranoid at the thought of something happening to my other one. He knows he must be nice to our pets, large and small (not that we have anything over 400grams currently) We were very proud.. it made me feel great he knew he could come and tell us, we didnt punish him for it, just explained he had to be careful and not touch them.. in fact we dont have to punish him very much, hes a great kid (although it may have alot to do with age, hes only 3.5)
