thumbnail has some type of corruption

It wasn't there before but I recently noticed a single image in thumbnail view in one of my galleries has some weird pixelation, maybe some type of file corruption. It hasn't been there before but now it is. When you click on the thumbnail to a larger size the problem isn't there but reappears when you go back to the thumbnail.

Any idea why this occurred?
