Color Management Question

Didn't know where else to ask hope this is the right place?
I just got Photoshop CS3 and this may be a stupid Question but do you still have to set your color management settings in CS3 if you have a software to calibrate your color? :scratch
Canon EOS 40D / EF 28-135 ; EFS 18-55 Lens /Canon Speedlite 580EX .
