    The detail in that memorial is amazing. Very nice capture to share a bit of that detail.

    Last year my wife and I visited the sculptor's studio that did the Lincoln Memorial -- Daniel Chester French. He did some beautiful, and obviously major, work and we were very impressed. (hmmm I might even have some photos; I wonder where?)

    Anyway, one thing we learned was that he was not happy with his model's hands, and he ended up using his own hands as the model for Lincoln's hands, so that is what you are looking at here -- Daniel Chester French's hand!
