Iceland Sea Towers

This is 1 of 10 shots from an area on the south coast of Iceland called Dyrholaey. The road leading to this area is 2 kilometers of large potholes ... slow going but worth the destination!

There was a great deal of wind, haze and spray and at one point it was hard to even stand ... yeehaw. Light and cloud conditions changed every 2 minutes making for lots of interesting light off the cliffs.

Yes ... the sand is really pitch black (see other shots) and the moss on the lava/cliffs is really 'that' color.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Perhaps this shot will tempt you to peek at the other 9 in this galary:

Beautiful seascapes! I love the sea spray and the mist that obscures the rock formations in the distance. Thanks for sharing :D

Great compositions! I think I like most of the shots in the gallery better than the one you posted, although they're all wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
