Three sports related ones for me in 2007:
    • Athletes swearing up and down and sideways that they did not take steroids and then finding out they did...................
    • Coaches swearing up and down and sideways that they are not switching jobs, signing long term contracts and then leaving anyway when the grass is greener......
    • Intelligent, well educated and enlightened men swearing up and down and sideways that the BCS system in college football is the best system to use and that it makes sense.................

None of these items will probably "go away" in 2008 - but we can hope!

Worrying about money! Finally crawling out of a deep hole, and it feels pretty good. Now I need to learn not to worry about my kids, or my moms health!

I can remember a year ago, thinking: Thank goodness the year is finished. I find myself in exactly the same place again this year. Thank goodness 2007 is finished.

I truely hope the new year bring new and wonderful things. I have no control over the price of petrol, diesel or the monthly shopping basket. What I do have control over, is the choise of whether to worry about them or not. Or idiot polititions. Or bosses and their silly agendas and political games. Or any of the idiots of society. I choose not to.

I am going to try my damndest to try and find a balance where I can be happy. I am going to try and focus on the positive. Look for the small good. The attractive. The meaningful. The real stuff that matters.

And I am going to try and capture things that mean something to me on "film". And enjoy those perspectives, through my own eyes, and through the images that you guys capture and share with us.

Here is to a new year, and good riddance to the old! nod.gifthumb.gif
