Hello all,
I have a couple of questions for the finepix s7000 that I just got.

1) I have heard that the camera has TTL and passive AF and no af assist lamp... Is this true? If so how can I compensate for this; external af light, hot shoe light, etc...

2) can i use a nikon hotshoe to pc sync adaptor?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Ram0135

I don't know a lot about the s7000 so these are mainly educated guesses.

I don't think you're going to find an external AF light that would work. Some type of light that's hotshoe mounted might work, but I think it would be quite combersom.

You should be able to. Take a look at the adapter. If there's one metal contact in the center of the bottom and a single metal contact on each side (in the slots where the adapter slides into the hotshoe), it should be just fine.

    Hope this helps...

    Flash w/ af?
    Hello,
Is there an affordable hotshoe flash that has an included AF assist lamp that would work with the FinePix s7000 ? Will sunpak flashes work? Or any other affordable ones...

    Thanks,
