This was on our way back home to Norway just before Christmas which SHOULD have been a straight forward task... but no! We were sent around Europe... and this was at Frankfurt airport when we just gave up. :cry

Anyhow... taken with the 17-40mm, overexposed 1 step and converted B&W. -What do you think?

Cheers! Ivar

Nice portrait of a beautiful lady. Did you have a special reason to over expose one stop? Just wondering... Love the sharpness around the eyes. Hope you finally got to Norway...

I like the exposure, I think maybe your camera was reading the backlighting and so this is a more pleasing exposure anyway? Either way it's very lovely. My only nit is that you might try a longer focal length, there's a tiny bit of distortion of her gorgeous features.

I think the exposure is dead on...at least for the lighting available. Nice conversion as well. Lucky for you, your companion would be considered beautiful anywhere in the world.

    Thanks for sharing!

Good job! It's perhaps a bit tightly composed, but I like the high key style.

    Hi folks!
I wanted to have a high key exposure... rather than doing all in PhotoShop afterwards. My heart has always been with E6 rather than digital... and with that you know you have to be accurate. For shots like this I usually end up using spot metering as a preference. I still think it is a bit too much trial and error with the new camera with WAY to soft files if you ask me!

Anyhow... thanks folks and see you around!
