Mother and son

I shot this a while back. Very bright morning sun (harsh as heck) it was supposed to be overcast.

Of the 10 or so shots, this was the best. I find that portraits with the subjects eyes on something other than me have much more emotion for some reason.

    I agree that the light is quite harsh, but it is still a very nice photograph. My advice to you would be to recrop the image in such a way as to get rid of the open space to the right of the swing. This would place each of the subjects in one third of the frame. Also the black thing (tripod?) at the bottom of the frame should also either be crpped out, or cloned out.
