Love that second shot taken from the side mirror Gus clap.gif

Number three is a nice capture of a highway heat mirage. Or is it just wet? I kind of wondered if it would look the same in a picture.

Seriously! I was pulled over in Utah recently and the cop made me get in the cop car with him while he wrote me up! Kinda creepy. For a moment, I thought I was in a dark Coen Brothers movie and was expecting to get shot. (I didn't get shot, and actually only got a warning.)

But, back OT, these shots are great! I never get such great shots from a moving vehicle. And I love that shot of the Wendover dude. I've driven that road many times since when I was a kid going on roadtrips to grandma's house.. and that Wendover dude was always a fun sight breaking up the bleak desert landscape.

tks george. Im trying to make a camera bracket for my motorbike now to get the camera an inch off the tar. I have a good supply of tunnels with sodium lighting & super smooth roads through them in this town.

Going to be some tears when i lean it into the first corner though rolleyes1.gif

I know your stuff is insured but isn't it a pain in the butt to shop for camera gear in Oz? :D

the clarity in that reflection is amazing! Now how do you set the aperture in a mirror? :D Dr Karl answered a mirror optics question the other morning, man did he go overboard!

Mate, those are all great shots from what you called a "so-so" photo trip. Pffffft.

Did you use an Eulerian or LaGrangian reference space?

In contrast with the null dust approximation, our approximation reversing scheme can describe the generation of gravitational light waves in the course of the cylindrically symmetric dust collapse. We did finally manage to get a sharp photo because the slower light could not propagate any blur. Unfortunately it also attracted a lot of road dust in through the lenses glass itself via anomalous dispersion thus i would strongly suggest no-one else attempts it.

I totally get it... I like simple language...clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif
