Dear Friends:

Portrait of Roger, in Oregon. I think this is a tad overdone (not too happy with my conversion here) so am going to rework it, but I'd like to hear any thoughts.

EXIF: Nikon D70, ISO 200, 1/30, f/2.8, 50mm, 50mm 1.8D AF, Handheld, Manual

Well then, any C&C would be appreciated. Happy New Year to all,

Gassho,

Nacho

A tad overdone? looks good to me. The white diagonal band behind his right shoulder is a little distracting. That's about all I can nitpick. Maybe sharpen his nearest eye -- looks like your focus might actually be the end of his nose, but that's minor. Nice photo!

I like the light on the wrinkles near his eye...a nice comparison to his hair, including the white hairs of his brow.

    Thanks!
Thanks leaforte, and 1pocket, truly appreciate the thoughts. Yeah, this was near a busy doorway, so I was moving quick to take the shot, and having to avoid people coming in and out, so I'm sure my focus was not spot on. Such an expressive face... I wanted to take many more!

    Thanks again, :D
