Since the world decided to go "Computerized" I'd say we waste far more paper than we ever did before, I know where I work we produce mountains of paperwork even though most of what we have can be seen electronically... ne_nau.gif

Nice shot Ivar wonder how old that carving is? .... Skippy :D

What a perfect title!! It totally makes the tale. thumb.gif

Whenever I see carvings like that I always wonder about them, how long it's been there, who the people were, how they ended up. :D

Thanks for looking and for the comments, guy and girls thumb.gif

Skip, Schmoo, I wonder the same thing; I have no idea. You can see that the carving wasn't very recent, but my tree-carving-expertise ends there :D

The shot was actually taken in the Netherlands btw, despite the not-so-Dutch names.

Years ago, I was surveying a tract in Centerville, Virgina. Near one corner was a large beech tree, with names carved into it of the surveyors that had surveyed that corner. I added my name to the list. As I remember, the first was from about 50 years earlier.

    Sorry, no picture.

N, no. I saw your picture fine, it made me remember the other tree I was talking about.

I don't have a picture of the one I saw.

Your picture is a good one, conveys a lot of emotion.
