Nice shot, good composition. The only thing I would change is to elliminate the distracting tree trunk in the foreground. Otherwise it is a neat photo.

I'm looking at this on an unprofiled monitor but it looks like it could use a bump in contrast.

The first image was as-shot. I tried a couple of shadings on this one. What do you think. So much of this is new to me, but fun. This shot should have been made from a tripod.

Sorry didn't respond until now. I hope you don't mind I did some playing with the shot.


I thought a crop to use the lake to balance a mountain on the right side would help. There still seems like there is something missing but since I'm not working on my normal monitor I'm not going to play by with the color.
I'll be happy to send you the psd with the different layers so you can see what I did.
