Black & White

The first and only photography course I ever took was a simple black & white course in high school. It was basic and bare bones. But it was beautiful. In the years following, I fell in love with dramatic color-heavy images. I was after as much color and contrast as possible. While color still plays a very large role in my photography, I have noticed within myself a desire to return to the "good ol' days" of BW photography. Some of you may laugh as my good ol' days are really not that old at all, but I've rediscovered my love for BW photography. Here is a small representation. Enjoy.

I took like B&W, and am trying to produce more in this area.
Thanks for sharing.

The trees, water, SF, and mountains are fantastic.
Can I take my vacation near you and be a student for a few days?

I study a lot of the late great photgraphers images, and have enjoyed yours just as much.
Just like to add that is refreshing to see the use of B&W .
It seems to be a dying format now and days.To bad really.

I'll add this word - inspirational! I'm especially moved by the grandeur of #8 & #9, and the intimacy of #1 & #5. Thanks!

I especially like the two with the mountains and the sun shining trough the clouds.

It's better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for who you're not.

These are all great. I especially like the second one. The low horizon and the big sky really bring out the image. Hope to see some more B&W from you.
