Our First Baby

My wife and I just had our first baby on the 27th of December. Her name is Ava Renee Atkins and she was born at 1243am, 6lbs 5oz, 20" long. I've finally caught up on some sleep and decided to post some pictures. I haven't done hardly any portrait photography and don't really have any special equipment. I use a Canon 30D and the 28-135mm lens it came with. Any comments / suggestions are more than welcome.

    Thank you for the kind comments Jen, Swartzy, and Marina. I'll certainly be giving my camera a workout over the coming weeks, months, and years. She's already my favorite person to photograph.

    Wow awesome stuff ! Take as many pics as you can while they are this age as the changes happen so quickly. I wish I was into photography when my little girl and boy were born..I was stuck with some crappy p&s that barely worked back then and most of the pics are terrible.
