I would like to get into Macro Photography, but have a limited budget. Here is what I currently am using and any suggestions would be appreciated on a way to economically get into Macro.

Canon EOS 40D
Canon BG-E2N Battery Grip
Canon Zoom Lens EF 70-200mm 1:4 L USM
Canon EFS 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6
Sigma 50mm 1:2.8 DG Macro

    Hey Mark,

    I looked at some fo your shots and they look pretty good. If you want more in depth critique posts 1-2 shots and I'm sure you'll get it. Here's a tute on posting pics here.

    As for a macro set-up start a thread in the "Accessories" or "Macro" forums and you'll get all the info you want.

    you can post for free here --just post from your computer --you do not need to be smug to grin -you may want one down the road

    I wasnt sure I wanted to spend the money either so I did half the trial and then got the Pro account. I like the features and the fact that I can safeguard my photos from illegal copying. I am by no means a pro, barely amatuer lol, but one never knows where things will lead. Whatever you decide good luck and stay happy. The other Harry. lmao
