I took this picture in the late summer of 07. Just me myself and my pentax K10d wich was brand new and i didn´t know anything about taking photos the right way to be honest.

Anyways that was a bunch of months ago. Now ive bin shooting like a monster just to get better. Now i think i know how to do and i love it.

This pic is one of the first i took with my camera. I found it on my puter yesterday and put some time to convert it to BW in photoshop. I like it cause the bench look so wise and old =).

The growth of the bush around it really creates an incredible frame for the bench. I can just imagine all of the conversations, thoughts, ideas, and stories behind the bench. Very nice.

Hi Arvan... you have something very nice there! It reminds me of tapestry... Can it take a little sharpening? And a little more contrast - I'd like to see more sheen where the light is reflecting from the shiny leaves and very slightly more intense shade in the depths of the foliage (not under the bench however)? In any case, pleasing capture. Thanks for showing.

Make it sharper will only create some noise since it is as sharpest to the right. Not on the bench. More contrast can be fixed. Did the conversion on my laptop..the screen often shows less contrast then on a calibratet monitor wich i can access @ school.

I can post the color version later on tonight.

Also, this photo made me remember Antonioni's film "Blow Up" (1966) - the park scenes, with the wind in the leaves. A film about a photographer being led into mystery, danger and a different consciousness by what his camera accidentally caught one day in London. I recommend it if you haven't seen it. Here is the trailer

Alot of work is done to get the exagurated contrast to be good. I allso added quite a buch of sharpening.

Great job with the color version! I also like it better than the B&W. It's a very appealing shot. As I say, like tapestry.
