I think if I were you I would be getting prints of these and framing them together....even if it means a custom matte. Very nice. These are the kind of photographs that definately increase in value with age!!!
Too much air space on 1 through 4.. my focus is on the top of his head.
Cute kid and great expressions!
Although I'm terrible at portraits and probably shouldn't be commenting.
I didn't shoot these, but they all look to be original camera crops where the photographer has left plenty of room for cropping to pretty much any size format. It is an art in itself sometimes, and definately something to keep in the back of your mind when shooting portraits.
I guess a landscape or product photographer would kill for a one thirds system type focus screen.
I , on the other hand, would kill for one that showed hash marks for other formats than 3:2

You know, I'm pretty sure these are available!
I think this series of pics would look dandy as all square crops in a collage. I've been meaning to do the same thing with my son...he can make the same faces! Cute kid and great captures!

Unfortunately not available for my current camera.
These are so cute. I really like the expressions in the last three! What a ham!
Scott,
That's exactly what my wife calls him. He's such a character. He's always been a good guinea pig for my photos. That is, when I get him to hold still long enough.

J-bo,
Thanks for the feedback.
Thinking back, I probably would have changed a few things. I was more interested in capturing his expression. He’s 4 years old and I had to work quickly before he rocketed off to his next adventure. Like a few others have said, I have an opportunity to crop for a great storyboard or square prints.
Check out this thread .... (link) There might be something there you can use.
Thanks Scott,
I am hoping the XTi will become a backup this year, so I doubt I want to sink any money into it. I will absolutely add this to the 30D or 40D or whatever D I buy to replace it.

I'm still learning and watching your portraits. Wouldn’t your Mom be proud of me? I didn’t chop his head off!
