Took my christmas present to the zoo for some interesting subjects to practice on. All pics were taking with with D300 and 70-300VR. If anyone is thinking about getting a D300 and would like to see the unprocessed pics from the camera I will post those.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Those pesky meerkats are the cutest things. I used to watch them an Animal Planet. Great shots!!!

That second meerkat is very good. I love the grains of dirt on his whiskers and fur.

Like all of these, except maybe the closeup of the panther doesn't quite work for me. But the meerkats and other pics are very nice indeed.

In the second round of pics I like the second meerkat photo where it is looking up. It has a nice expression. The baby orangutan is just too cute and look at the size of the paws on the baby panther. It has some growin' to do to fit into those feet. Wow!

    Neil,

Thanks for the feedback and comments.

    Maestro,

Thank you for your comments as well, and now that you mention it, I do see that panther has huge paws. I hadn't even noticed that before... I was just always looking at its cute face.
