Im looking into buying a set.

Are all their standard filters called resin as a standard product name or is this 'resin' a particular type of lee filter ? (ive looked on their site and if its on there then ive missed it)

You can get either filters made from resin or filters made from glass. Glass filters are typically 4mm thick and resin fiters are usually about 2mm thick. If you are getting the Lee foundation kit, it comes set up to hold 2mm resin filters. You need to order a couple extra parts (thicker guides and longer screws) to mount glass filters. I have a couple 4"x4" glass ND filters from Formatt and some 4"x6" resin grads from Singh-Ray. The resin filters are more commonly used for still photography, I think because they are lighter weight. Glass filters seem to be mostly used on Hollywood-grade movie cameras.
