I've been in London quite a few times, but never for long enough to get oriented. It's a huge and ancient city; the streets aren't straight; and it's easy for me to get very lost (not really a bad thing if you have the time.)

This time was no exception, except that my wife and I spent 2 days just walking around without much of a goal. I'm still digging through the shots I took, but here are a few from Friday afternoon.

One thing I like about London compared with NY is the fact that the buildings aren't tall and you can often see a long way. It's also an imperial city with lot's of monumental spaces. But unlike Washington, DC, the scale works for pedistrians and works as a backdrop for daily life. Here's Trifalgar Square:

If not now, when?
