I think you found what you were looking for! #1 certainly has both in abundance and I love how either color or lines are emphasized in the others. thumb.gif

Hi Chrissie, you live in an interesting, and colourful area.
That first shot I had to look at more than once because I was unsure which way you shot that image.

It looks like you stood under it and shot upwards, but ya don't have windows on the bottom of a dwelling .... silly me rolleyes1.gif

The Pidgeons on the paved walkway, look good.

That's quite a piece of art work in the third image.
    Is it tiled or painted?

Last of all......... Carnivals are always full of colourful people,
    and photo opportunities .

Thanks for sharing .... my favourite is the First Shot thumb.gif .... Skippy :D

Hi Schmoo, Awais and Skippy! :D

The first photo is of the cube houses in rotterdam designed by Piet Blom. They are tilted cubes on 'poles' and indeed have windows in the floor. :D

the artwork you see in the third photo is painted on the ground but because of the angle only vissible from the sky so a big viewing platform was build beside it to view it. It depicts the history of rotterdam rising out of the fight with water and fire.

thanks for looking and replying! iloveyou.gif

Fairdinkum? windows in the floor??? gawwwwwwwd
I thought I got it wrong .... that was my first thought,
that you stood underneath and shot upwards, then I saw the windows,
and I thought narrrrrrrrr they wouldn't have windows in the floor Skip,
    have another look rolleyes1.gif

    Thank's for clearing that up :D ... Skippy :D

yes, its an engineering marvel because you can't use about 20% of the available 100 square meters in the house because of the corners and slopes rolleyes1.gifheadscratch.gif:D

but a nice subject for the camera indeed :ivar

i'll see if i can shoot inside one of the houses sometime because one of the owners transformed his house into a 'museum' after repeated bugging of tourists :D

    Love the Memories
I love the cubes! Reminds me of when I was there in 1991. Is the market still on the street below? Great shots!
