Slideshow Quality - Firefox vs. Safari

Hello - new to Smugmug and loving it so far!
It seems that the slideshow - fullscreen - pictures in Safari (3.0.4) are much sharper than they are in Firefox (2.0.0.11). I have read many forum posts and have decided to allow "originals" just to make sure that the full-screen slideshow works using the highest quality images (I uploaded 12 megapixel jpeg originals).
Is this normal behavior or is there something I am missing?
Thanks!
(In case it matters, I am running an iMac with a 20" monitor.)
UPDATE: I just checked this morning and now it seems to be running okay now - both Safari and Firefox seem to be displaying the same quality image. I would still be interested in knowing if this is normal as I know that most of the people I share photos with will not be running Safari. (Most likely Internet Explorer.) THANKS!

We're working on some improvements we hope, for the full-screen slideshow. Stay tuned
