Hey all,

For the life of me, I cannot open any RAW files in Photoshop.

Details; Mac OSX (10.4.11), PS CS2, and trying to open Canon RAW CR2 files.

It worked fine yesterday but today; to no avail. Please help me :scratch

Thanks; that's what I was thinking.

First thing tomorrow I'm going to reload everything.

    Thank you

Before you start reloading all over the place. Try resetting Ps settings back to default.

Just hold down cmd+option+shift then launch Ps. You should get a prompt asking if you would like to "delete the Photoshop settings file", Click yes.

You should now have a fresh slate with all of the settings returned to their default.

    Cheers,

What camera were the CR2 files shot with?

PSCS2 and Adobe RAW converter will not open all the current forms of CR2 files I believe, say from a 40D.

40D files require the newer version of Adobe RAW that ships with PSCS 3 and ARC 4.3 now I think

Does ARC version 3, open files for a 1DMklll?

I'm using DNG with CS2; the 1Ds Mark III's are not covered under ACR 3.7

At first I thought the issue was with my uninstalling the CS3 pre-release scripts but those turned out to be okay.

Long story short; I think it was my DNG program. After R&R of CS2, I re-installed DNG 4.3 and it works fine.

Thanks to all for the help; I really appreciate it! clap.gif
