Image quality has deteriorated in the last few days

Yesterday, on <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:date Year="2008" Day="12" Month="1">January 12 2008</st1:date>, I uploaded a couple of photos and immediately noticed a lot of pixilation on people’s faces. I reloaded same photos a few hours later hoping that it was a temporary bug, but nothing changed. Quality of all images in all sizes except the original was significantly worse then usually :scratch .
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Then I decided to replace a photo, uploaded a while ago. Before replacing it, I checked the image size, which was around 47K in S = small. After I replaced my picture with the same photo stored on my computer, the image size in S became 27K. That’s X2 less! Of course, the difference is very noticeable!
<o:p></o:p>
Below is a screenshot of a different image I replaced today to prove my point.
I don’t know if all accounts were affected or only few and I’m among unlucky ones, but I just hope it’s a temporarily bug, which SmugMug will fix in a timely manner. Before this pixilation issue I was a very happy customer.

P.S. My screenshots were saved in GIF by Snipping Tool (default setting) and then I put 2 images side by side in Photoshop and saved as JPEG file.

Or, if you can give me another before / after example, by links, from your gallery, that'd be helpful.

Yes, I can but it will be in reverse (bad quality photo first, then good quality) as I just uploaded the same photo with stuffed animals and the image quality is back! <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/clap.gif" border="0" alt="" >
This is the photo I uploaded earlier today, replacing the original image : (33074 bytes in M) http://azilove.smugmug.com/photos/240048802-M-1.jpg
and this is the same photo uploaded a few minutes ago (72372 bytes in M):

I don't know how this bug got fixed, but for now image quality is back and I'm going to replace all photos uploaded yesterday <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/wings.gif" border="0" alt="" >
Thanks!
Edited: I've just noticed that in order to get good quality images back, you have to upload them as new files and delete ones with low quality because if you try to replace them, nothing will change. <--- For people who may have experienced the same problem as I did. Hope it's not too confusing...
