I wish to share with you guys a very special place I recently discovered in Canyonlands National Park. It is a little known archeological site with a phantastic view. Although the site is fairly well known these days, we were completely alone on the trail and at the site. It was a wonderful experience.
I did combine 3 photographs (-2EV 0EV +2EV) to capture the dynamic range present in this shot. The sun actually in the picture (behind a cloud).
Hope you like it.

Wow, I really love it! I guess the people who lived there in the past knew how to set up a room with a view...

I used to live in Moab and everytime I see shots from the region I get a wishful feeling to be back among the red rocks.
This shot gives me that feeling! So much depth and texture as far as the eye can see!

Thanks for the compliment. I believe I used f/16 or f/14 and 13mm focal length on a Canon 20D. That gives plenty of depth.
I love winter. When red and white mix is my favorite time to go there and its the only time when I can afford to leave work (around xmas).

We were completely alone on the trail and at the ruins. Not another soul.
Thats exactly how it was like. Peaceful and tranquil.
