A couple unexpected birds.

While taking some songbird images today,I got a couple visiters.
The hawk I need id for,just can't quite pin point him in the book.Looks like a P Falcon.

    Five of us looked through six books..
    We think it's a Cooper's Hawk. Nice shot, I know it's really exciting to get a picture of these guys.

    I think they are right ----butt it may be a sharp-shinned -if it was small then I would leen to the SS

    I got a few replies from my birding group ,and they think Coopers also.
    Size is about the same as a med size adult redtail.

    nice shots. My first impression looking at the hawk was that it might be a goshawk. It seems to be on the big side in the photos. But a male goshawk is going to be about the size of a female cooper's hawk. And all three of the accipiters have such similar paint jobs. Just my 2 cents ne_nau.gif
