What's going on here?
Ed,
I thought you were supposed to post landscapes and the occasional Coyote and Harry and I were supposed to post birds. You don't see us posting Coyotes, do you? What's up with you infringing on our bread and butter?
HAHAHAHA, just kidding buddy. You shame me. These are OUTSTANDING The lighting is sooooooooooo good in all of these. Your pics are a fine illustration of the difference between a good bird pic and a great photograph.
That last one deserves to be blown up and hung in a nice frame. It's an awesome shot clap

So where'd you get most of them, Elkhorn Slough?
Thanks for sharing these,
Steve
Haha Thanks Steve, I think you and Harry are way beyond what I can do with Birds, but thanks for the compliment..
The first three were at a small preserve near my house, the last one is in fact Elkhorn Slough ( good call ) the last time I was in Moss Landing. You ever get down there?

Ed,
Well, I go by Moss Landing all the time, but haven't shot there, yet Even Daniella mentioned the abundance of waterfowl at Elkhorn. Andy will be out here next week and I'll see if he's up to it
As for my compliment, I was sincere. My brain is just too logical. I can't get pics like yours because my brain says "hey!!, those birds are supposed to be white, not golden, dummy"..... So I wind up exposing/post processing for a properly colored bird and lose the opportunity to create art.
I don't know if that makes sense, but that's my story and I'm stickin to it :lol

Hey Steve,
At your age you're not supposed to make sense anyhow.

Pretty straight shots, little brightness/contrast and a little cropping. That's it
