I know it's a little wierd, but I can't help it, I collect typography. Currently I have a serif alphabet, a san serif alphabet, and a neon alphabet. I LOVE SIGNAGE! Here's a poster I made with some of my serif alphabet.

I'd love to see any signage or typography anyone has photographed

hoping this message finds you well -Ian

Famous signage from last week, not so fabulous from this angle, too many cars and power lines.

Holy Moly! Rutt, I just love that Starbucks shot. The Starbucks sign made me think Seattle, but the London Bus made me know I was wrong. Globalization in one image, great catch!

    Signage
I live in China occasionally, and I love the translations of the signs they have. None of these are art but any stretch of the imagination, but they are kind of fun.

    1. Passing what? Gas? Away? The Chinese basically means 'Off Limits to Tourists'
    8373000-M-1.jpg

    2. This is a sign for a bike tube repair stand, but what I like is the heartfelt declaration in the middle.

    What a great thread
And here I thought I was the only one shooting neat signs and of course, neon. I'll have to dig through my archives! I have one of Reno with one of the letters burnt out.

I love the poster idea, although I've seen this before -- maybe it's time I made one of my own up! :):

Have no fear - we have French Connection UK (FCUK) stores here in the US as well. The signs have the name spelled out rather than just the initials.
The US stores sell pretty lame items compared to the UK ones as well, but they always have a few of those cool FCUK tee shirts. Get lots of reaction if you wear them here.
    Oh, here's my sign contribution:

Thanks for clarifying the meaning. I always wondered what the initials meant just seeing for myself the similiarity to the f-word, but I never did a search on this one.

    Baltimore street scenes
Just wandering the friendly streets of "Charm City".

    17719919-M.jpg

    17719921-M.jpg

This one only has a small "sign" - hardly qualifies. I like the picture but wish I would have gone back and reshot it (and tried some other ideas with it). It has some flaws - like a "soft" America sign.

    Critiques always welcome! mwink.gif

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.
