I found out about this seminar, http://edpierceseminars.com/ , from another photo forum and thought people here might be interested. If you sign up you can use the code:

Westcott

to get a discount. By using the code the seminar only costs $19, sounds like a heck of a deal.

I'm going to the one in Sacramento on 2-26.

I had seen the info on the seminar before but the Atlanta ones were sold out. I signed up for the Nashville one.

Since yours is much sooner, once you attend come give us a quick summary and any insight you might have gotten.

Will do. Since I know nothing about lighting I'm sure I will learn a lot. I also like that you get DVDs to take home to learn at your own pace.

I attended the one in Ontario on 2/19. Great seminar for $19. The seminar covers exactly what is listed on the What You'll Learn page with live and pre-recorded video demos. The trade show gives people time to explore and buy products mentioned and used in the seminar. Canon rep was on site with a table full of Canon EOS bodies and L lenses that everyone can play around with. For those attending the evening seminars, I highly recommend having dinner before the seminar or bring something to snack during the break.

The one in Denver was sold out and then they opened it up again. So you might want to check it out to see if they have done likewise in your area.
