I have a Sony Alpha, and I believe Minolta Konica are interchangeable. I seek a 400 MM lens so I can shoot shots of my son @ baseball!

Steve, since this is really a question first and a "want to buy" much further down the road, I'm moving this poll into the gear discussion forum.

when you know what you're looking for, come on back to the flea market.

    thanks thumb.gif

(I've also added some useful info to your thread title)

Minolta Maxxum and KM lenses will fit the Sony Alphas. Not ALL Minolta lenses will work, only Maxxum AF mount.

Also know that the smaller digital CCD gives you a 1.5X lens conversion focal length so that 400mm is now a 600mm and a 500mm is a 750mm lens. So unless he's playing in the outfield and you're sitting behind home plate a 300mm f2.8 lens would be more logical and also faster. And if you still needed more length add on the matched 1.4 teleconverter and only lose one more f stop of light.
