weird eyes...

Hi everyone, this is my very first post on this site!
This is one of my first macro shots taken with my recently purchased sigma 105 f2.8 macro! love the lens! Any comments welcome!

    Both excellent captures :)
    #1 is a hoverfly Eristalinus sp.
    #2 is a robber fly.
    Think the composition of #2 would have been better with the fly further over the left.

    Ahhhhhhhh you got a new toy did you, well congratulations.

    I see you are getting excellent results too.

    Love the banding in the eyes ........ I am so hanging out to find a bug that has more than just plain compound eyes nod.gif

    Both shots look great, they eyes are sooooo in focus :ivar
    Well I can see by the looks of these two shots,
    we are going to see many a fine image from you in the near future.
