I have been directed here many times through the web. I decided to join up and do some chat and sharing with you fine folks. Here is my entrance photo. I hope you enjoy. CC is always welcome.

Virtually no post processing, straight out of the camera. A simple crop is all. The black is all shadow as you should be able to see from the sunlight on her face.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Welcome! I love the portrait of this lioness. The stark black background really works to bring out the color of the lion! thumb.gif

Thank you for all the kind words.

Day trip to Africa, where else? :)

It's a zoo shot, the black background is shadow. Our zoo is heavily wooded and I got there early enough to catch the sun coming over the trees. She walked over to enjoy the sun on her face. This was the only shot I was able to get like this. The shots before and after this were not as good. Right place at the right time.

It's all about the light, right?
