I don't post a lot in this category but I recently went on a shoot with Kdog up in his part of the desert. We were hoping to get some shots of Big Horn Sheep that are in the Canyon below the Hoover Dam along the Colorado river. Here is a journey thread with more shots.

Some Ducks along the river that Kdog was scaring with the boat

You really caught that coot running on water and nice shot of the elk. I actually like the B&W treatment more than the color although the color versions are quite nice as well.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Stephen- I was surprised to see I got the running on water so clear. Handheld with only a 50-200 lens. :ivar

    Thanks Marina-

She was pretty easy going at 7:30 am and let us get to within a few hundred feet of her- that is of course because we were hiding behind trees and a trash can. rolleyes1.gif

    Thanks Chris.

Elk can be found throughout the state- just not in the area around you. Highest numbers are in the White Mountains from Payson to Show Low.

I like seeing your shots from around the Prescott Lakes. Reminds me of growing up near there and accessing those lakes before they became open to the public. mwink.gif

    Hey Aaron,

Great shots. Awesome work on the elk. People probably don't realize that it barely light outside when those shots were taken. I'm very impressed how well those came out. bowdown.gif

The skipping ducks, err, coots, are very nice as well. :D

    Until next timebeer.gif
