Barney and Gus

Every morning my dog Barney sits on the hill looking down the driveway for his friend Gus who lives down the road. Gus comes over every day to play but always stops at the house first for a milk-bone.
Usually they race around the property play fighting and the action is so rough and tumble it's hard to get a good shot of the two of them. This day after a half hour or so they took a break and sat down near where I was shooting birds at the feeder. They weren't looking at me while I composed the shot but when ready I made a noise and their heads turned to me in unison allowing me this shot. I couldn't have planned a better pose.

Thanks Marina. I wish I could say I planned it that way! It really was a case of being in the right place at the right time.
